農学系学生のための専門科目「水理学」の教育指導に関する研究

Recently, in agricultural engineering courses of both several Private and National Universities, it is remarkable that students who passed some entrance examinations by using mainly Biology subject in Science subjects have been increasing. It is necessary to study how teachers affiliated with those courses educate these students about the technical subject "Hydraulics", one of Physics subject, by effective teaching methods.
The investigation of educational teaching conditions of "Hydraulics" was done for four Private Universities; Kitasato University, Tokyo University of Agriculture, Nihon University, and Meiji University, and one National University of Miyazaki. There are various subject names concerning "Hydraulics", and the basic subjects of them are situated at the first semester of second year, and the applied subjects are at the second semester of second year or third year. In spite of the department or the course accredited by JABEE, "Hydraulics" has been made as either "Elective subject" or "Compulsory subject". The contents of technical textbooks used in three Universities are ranged from "Ordinary" to "Easy" in the difficulty's rank, and at their lectures, the assistant technical information are distributed for students. In case of using no textbook with enough technical contents, teachers often make some devices to distribute the special assistant-technical information, and tried many practices for some public service examinations, for students.
As the preparation to write a Hydraulics textbook, we studied the detailed contents on 30 Hydraulics textbooks, and selected the textbook's model with content from "Ordinary" to "Easy" in the difficulty's rank, and then made the chapter and the detailed contents. Based on these principles, we, 6 teachers, started to write it on September 2009, and then the book titled "Hydraulics for Agricultural course" was published 1,500 copies with B5 size and 186 pages on June 2010. It was the best way in this time to publish this textbook while thinking about various characteristics and future course trends of the agricultural course students.

農業工学系学科では生物学で受験する学生が最近多くなってきており,物理系の専門科目｢水理学｣をどのように効果的に教育指導すべきか検討する必要がある.
水理学指導の実態を私立4大学と国立の宮崎大学とで調査した結果,科目名は相違するが基礎系水理学が2年前期に,応用系水理学が2年後期から3年次に配置され,JABEE認定学科･コースであっても必修科目と選択科目に分かれていた. 使用教科書は難易度で普通から易の内容のものであり,補助的に資料も配布していた. 適当な内容の教科書がない理由で自作資料を用い,理解を深めるために講義内容を工夫し演習問題を多用し公務員受験にも配慮している.
また,解り易い教科書を執筆するために,30冊の水理学教科書の内容を精査し,難易度で普通から易の内容のある教科書モデルを選定し,それを例として執筆する章･目次･項目･内容の精選を具体的に行った. この方針に基づき2009年9月から6名で分担して執筆を開始し, 2010年6月にB5判, 186ページの｢農学系の水理学｣を1,500部発行した. 現時点では,農学系学生の特徴･動向に考慮して教科書を発行したことは,最良の選択であった.
