| 内容記述 | The domestic sciences field of clothing studies has long been viewed as sewing. However, manner of dress exemplifies the fundamental role of clothing as well as functioning as an important means of communication among humans. In this study, a survey of student opinion was undertaken in order to ascertain their level of consciousness and degree of understanding about the field of clothing studies. An analysis of survey data showed that students were satisfied with methods of instruction that included both lecture and practical experience as such instruction allowed individual students to experience the satisfaction of not only learning, but also planning and canying out class assignments by themselves. Analysis also showed that the current low level of student consciousness and understanding acts as an obstacle to the acquisition and application of basic knowledge provided through instruction. Survey results suggest the necessity of creating teaching materials that promote student interest, motivation and knowledge. |
