However, \nmanner of dress exemplifies the fundamental role of clothing as well as functioning as an \nimportant means of communication among humans. \nIn this study, a survey of student opinion was undertaken in order to ascertain their level of \nconsciousness and degree of understanding about the field of clothing studies. \nAn analysis of survey data showed that students were satisfied with methods of instruction \nthat included both lecture and practical experience as such instruction allowed individual \nstudents to experience the satisfaction of not only learning, but also planning and canying out \nclass assignments by themselves. Analysis also showed that the current low level of student \nconsciousness and understanding acts as an obstacle to the acquisition and application of basic \nknowledge provided through instruction.
