| 内容記述 | 環境教育のための生きた教材として河川を見直し、 身近な地域を流れる河川 (ここでは 宮崎県の一級河川である大淀川) の環境調査等を生徒や学生あるいは教員と共に行い実践 的に教材化していく試みを模索した。 河川の調査については、 現地に生徒や学生等と共に 入り、 理科の4領域 (化学・生物学・地学・物理学) から、 多角的な調査を行い、 それぞ れの分析的結果をまとめて立体的に把握する試みを行った。 4領域から見た自然環境の特 徴とそれらの関連性・共通性等を明らかにしていくことで、 環境教育のための有機的・立 体的な教材化をはかるためのワンステップが得られた。 |

| 内容記述 | We chose the Oyodo River, which is a first-class river in Miyazaki, as a teaching resource for environmental education. Focussing on the geographic and physical features and the environmental conditions of this river, research was carried out by staff from four scientific fields (chemistry, biology, earth- science, and physics) and students of the Science Course at Miyazaki university. We integrated the results of our studies to obtain a more realistic and organized understanding of this river. It appeared that this attempt was successfuI in making the students have more interest in environmental problems. Therefore, this study gave us the first step to design useful teaching materials for environmental education in our university. |
