| 内容記述 | For stable production of eel seedlings, it is necessary to obtain good quality eggs from matured female eel. Ovulated eggs have been able to obtain easily by the progress of techniques for induction of maturation. However, egg quality, such as fertility and hatchability, is low and often fluctuated among females used. The present in vitro study shows that oocyte maturation and ovulation are induced by maturation-inducing steroid in shorter incubation period when larger oocytes are incubated at higher temperature. In vivo experiments reveal that oocyte maturation and ovulation in female eels possessing larger oocytes are induced by hormonal treatments in shorter period and relatively good quality ovulated eggs are obtained from the female. |
