| 内容記述 | 生後2日齢から25ヵ月齢までの末経産雌牛と雄牛における乳房の発育を肉眼的, 顕微鏡的に観察した. 生後62日までの雌牛乳房では, 乳管洞や乳管は各乳頭の背後位の小範囲に限局し, 乳房の大部分は脂肪組織で形成されている. 6ヵ月齢以後の雌牛乳房では乳管が乳房のほぼ全域に分布している.腺胞は9ヵ月齢のもので出現し,10ヵ月齢のもので分泌像が見られた.25ヵ月齢の乳房では,腺胞で満された小葉が多い. 25日齢以前の雄牛の乳房の形態は4日齢の雌牛のものに似ている. 61日齢以後の雄牛乳房では,乳頭と乳管洞はやや発育するが,乳房の脂肪組織と乳管は退化する. |

| 内容記述 | Gross and microscopic observations on the postnatal developmont of udders were made in 2-day to 25-month-old heifers and bulls. In udders from heifers younger than 62 days of age, the lactiferous sinuses and mammary ducts were limited within narrow extent of dorsoposterior parts from each teat, and the bulk of udder consisted of adipose tissue. In udders from heifers older than 6 months, the lactiferous sinuses and mammary ducts istributed all over the udder. The alveoli appeared in udders of heifers at their 9 months and showed secretion in udders of those aged 10 months. The udders of a 25-month-old heifer was made up of lobules of closely packed alveoli. The structure of udders of bull younger than 25 days of age were identical to that of 4-day-old heifer. In udders from a bull older than 61 days of age, the teats and lactiferous sinuses devloped slightly, but the mammary ducts and adipose tissue degenerated. |
