| 内容記述 | 132 species of 45 families were confirmed in Omani fishes collected in the vicinity of Mutrah, Gulf of Oman and Madrakah, southern Oman through 3 to 13 October 2010. Five new records from Oman were confirmed and a newly described species of sciaenid fish was confirmed : Albula oligolepis (the Albulidae, photo basis), Ostichthys acanthorhinus (the Holocentridae), Gerres infasciatus (the Gerreidae), G. macracanthus (the Gerreidae) as the first record from Oman. Acanthopagrus catenura (the Sparidae), A. omanensis (the Sparidae), and Sparidentex belaywesi (the Sparidae) are the second record after the original description or after the first record from Oman. A newly collected species Johnius majan (the Sciaenidae) in this survey was separately described by the first, second and last authors as a new to science, diagnosed as upper axil of pectoral fin of the species. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 2010年10月3日から13日の11日間にかけて,オマーンのマトラおよびマドラカ地方の魚瓶調査を行なった.サンプリングは,主に両地域の魚市場で水揚げされた魚類の購入や著者による釣りによって標本の採集を行なった.その後,標本に基づき正確な同定作業を行なった.標本のない個体は魚市場で撮影した写真に基づき同定した. その結果,本研究により45科132種の魚煩が確認された. そのうち, Albula oligolepis (ソトイワシ科), Ostichthys acanthorhinus (イットウダイ科), Gerres infasciatus (クロサギ科), G. macracanthus (タロサギ科), およびAcanthopagrus catenura (タイ科)の5種は,オマーン水域からの初記録であることが明らかとなった.また,タイ科魚頬のSparidentex belaywesi と Acanthopagrus omanensis の2種は,原記載後の標本に基づく本海域からの2番日の記録であった.オマーン南部のマドラカ地方沿岸域で採集された Johnius majan (ニベ科)は,胸鰭基部の上部に黒点をもつ,背鰭軟条数29-32,臀鰭軟条数8, 側線上方隣数6, および側線下方燐数11であることなどの識別的特徴から, Johnius majan は未記載種であることが明らかとなり,最近第1,2および5著者らにより新種記載された. | |||||
