| 内容記述 | This study addresses the concept of disaster risk reduction at community level. The first objective of this study is measuring the preparedness level of local community against natural disasters. The second objective is revealing the correlation between preparedness level and social vulnerability. Finally, this study proposes some strategy that suitable with the condition of community preparedness against natural disaster. Tegal Kamulyan, Cilacap and Sidakaya village which are located on Cilacap Municipality are set up as study location. These locations are very prone to tsunami disaster. In measuring preparedness level, a questionnaire survey was distributed on those study area. The community preparedness level was evaluated based on formulas proposed by Simpson, Matin and Sopaheluwakan. Moreover, to reveal the correlation between community preparedness level and social vulnerability, a chi-square analysis was conducted by using SPSS software. Additionally, SWOT analysis was performed in describing the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of the community preparedness against tsunami. Then TWOS analysis were conducted to propose some strategies for community against tsunami. The study reveals that communities on the study area are unwell prepare in facing tsunami disaster threat. In addition, social vulnerability factors that have significant correlation with the preparedness level are gender, education level, age and income. By doing SWOT analysis, it proves that low level on education and income are the weakness factors against tsunami, the willingness of community to follow tsunami drill can strengthen the community to face probable hazard. The availability of tsunami information provided by government and the possibility of tsunami occurrence are one of opportunity and threat factors respectively. Some strategies, for instance empowering community about tsunami knowledge, are revealed thorough TWOS analysis. | |||||
