| 内容記述 | Abstract The propagation properties of photonic crystal(PC) waveguide consisting of chiral medium are examined numerically by the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. The 2nd Mur and PML absorbing boundary conditions are applied. The waveguide structure in this article is the two-dimensional air-hole type waveguide. It is shown that the incident linear polarized lightwave is converted to the circular polarized lightwave. The photonic band gap(PBG) for the chiral PC is examined numerically by the Direct Field Methods(DFM), which is one of the solvers for FDTD with Periodic Boundary Conditions and it is show that the PBG depends on the chirality. |
