内容記述 | Miyazaki Prefecture has a thriving livestock industry, and most of the large amount of livestock waste generated is composted. However, in some areas, there is not enough arable land to meet the production volume of livestock manure, and there is an imbalance between supply and demand. Our research group has focused on the relationship between crop yields and nitrogen leaching into groundwater through the use of livestock manure. In this study, the effects of cattle manure compost and NPK fertilizer application rates on growth, yield, and nitrate nitrogen leaching of Italian ryegrass were investigated using Wagener pots. The results suggested that the conventional application rate of cattle manure compost and chemical fertilizer provided an excellent balance between environmental impact and yield. However, no significant difference was observed when only cattle manure was applied, suggesting that the use of cattle manure may reduce the amount of chemical fertilizer applied without significantly disrupting the balance between environmental impact and yield. It will be necessary to continue to verify the results by changing the amount of cattle manure and NPK fertilizers applied in the future. |
