| 内容記述 | In this paper, by using conversation analysis, one of the qualitative research methodologies, we will analyze the students' discussions and the fragments of conversations in which they talk about fitness clubs. We will aim to clarify what kind of image the students have of fitness clubs. We pay attention to the conversation topics, their choice of words, and the ways in which they present themselves in the discussion of fitness club. Initially in the project, the students were naturally treated as the potential young members; however, the data revealed that the students were actually orienting themselves to the image of non-potential members of the fitness club. This is a part of our project where the students were asked to find a solution to increase the young members at a fitness club. We conducted survey research with multiple methods, both quantitative and qualitative, at the fitness club where we collected data. |
