| 内容記述 | In order to develop the economical or environmental manufacturing processes and to obtain the high load-carrying capacity of case-carburized gears, the surface-finishing method was investigated by using the fluid volcanic-ashes. First, the chemical composition and particle size of the volcanic-ashes were examined. Secondly, the surface of carburized steel was finished by use of the fluid volcanic-ashes. Thirdly, the roughness of finished surface was measured using a surface texture measuring instrument. The following results are obtained; (1) The volcanic-ashes contain a lot of silica and alumina useful for abrasive machining. (2) The volcanic-ashes mixed with mineral oil have the appropriate liquidity. (3) The surface-finishing method using the fluid volcanic-ashes can easily smooth the surface of the carburized steel. | |||||||||||||
