The radiating electromagnetic waves from a PD source induces the surface current and forms a pulse-like voltage variation on the tank surface of an oil-filled transformer. The TEV sensor mounted on the tank measures the voltage variation. The tank functions as a receiver of electromagnetic waves, and therefore the relative positional relationships between a PD source and a TEV sensor may strongly influence on the measurement accuracy.\nWe carryied out numerical analyses of the current density, induced by electromagnetic wave on the tank surface of oil-filled transormer, by using he general-purpose physics simulation software COMSOL ultiphysics.
