内容記述 | Tensile test of a latewood in Japanese cedar was carried out to investigate its mechanical property and fracture behavior. Brittle fracture behavior for the latewood was recognized from tensile stress-strain curve and fracture surface observation. Moreover, two fracture patterns: principal stress fracture and shear fracture were obvious. Consequently, Weibull analysis on two fracture patterns was conducted to evaluate of reliability and probability approach of brittle latewood. Finally, two fracture mechanisms are discussed based on findings of the failure pattern observation after tensile test. | |||||
