The power circuit of the 2-leg inverter was installed with 8 IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistors) as switch and microcontroller number PIC30F4011 as circuit controlling unit. According to the test with the developed inverter for controlling a single phase induction motor, the rpm could be adjusted from zero to the power capacity.
