内容記述 The aim of this work was to study the performance and energy saving of split type air conditioner at various dew point temperature of evaporative cooling coil in order to find out new approaches reducing energy consumption of the air conditioner. To this end, and experimental setup was built; it consisted of a 12,000 Btu/h vapor compression refrigeration system with R-22 as working fluid, an air cooled heat exchanger, and a temperature sensor was installed on the evaporator coil surface to adjust the dew point temperature of the refrigeration system and switch on/off the compressor (Thermostat). The dew point temperature varied from 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and the air velocity passing through the cooling coil was varied at six levels. The results showed the relation between dew point temperature and coefficient of performance, electrical energy consumption and energy efficiency ratio, respectively. The experiment results were compared with simulation model and reasonable agreement was observed.
