A propellant of the arcjet thruster has used hydrazine(N2H4) as propellant from the viewpoint of the specific impulse and the reliability. However, hydrazine is high toxicity liquid. Thereby it is required that an arcjet thruster use green propellant, for example DME or LPG. We propose to apply LPG to a DC arcjet thruster. LPG, composed of butane(C4H10) and propane(C3H8), is non-toxic and non-reactive liquefied gas. Thus, the LPG arcjet thruster is more available than hydrazine arcjet thrusters. In this report, we discuss a development of a flow controller for the LPG arcjet thruster. The flow controller is combined a flow mater, Arduino and a solenoid valve. This reduce a cost because the flow controller is customized without an excessive performance. In the experiment, it is demonstratable that the flow controller is applicable to the LPG arcjet thruster.
