内容記述 | Thermoelectric (TE) power modules with solar cells and a parabolic dish form a micro combined heat and power generation (micro-CHP) system that has become one of the most promising solutions of renewable energy technologies used to reduce the dependency of fossil fuels in thermal and electricity generation. The TE micro-CHP system is composed of TE power modules, a parabolic dish, solar cells, a water cooling unit and water storage tanks. Two small solar cells were used to drive a water pump. The TE geneation system and solar cells were installed on the parabolic dish. A simple solar tracking system is employed to track the sun. Six TE modules were arranged in series, directly fixed at the back side of an absorber plate. The parabolic dish concentrated solar energy to the absorber plate. The heat from the absorber plate is transfered to the hot side of the TE modules. Simultaneously, water cooling is circulated at the cold side to maintain the temperature difference between the hot and cold sides of TE modules. Electricity is generatred by TE modules and the remaining heat is transfered to water at the same time. The TE micro-CHP system was examined in Bangkok, Thailand. It was found that of the focus length of parabolic dish is 57cm, which gives the maximum hot side temperature reached up to 232oC, corresponding to the electrical power of 5.3 W and the conversion efficiency of 3.84%. The water cooling system can produce the moderate water temperature (40oC) of 80 L/day. This system has the potential to make contribution to a small stand-alone CHP system. | |||||
