内容記述 | The simulation of ground motions from large earthquakes has been attempted by a number of authors by using small earthquakes as Green's functions and summing them. The discussions of previous authors have been framed by using recorded motions for the small earthquakes. In this paper, the motions for the small earthquakes are produced by a stochastic point source model with ω^-2 property. By summing the simulated motions and making use of the scaling relations between large and small earthquakes, the ground motions from an extended rupture too large to be treated as a point source model are simulated. To show a verification of the proposed method, the simulated ground motions are compared with the recorded ground motions. | |||||
