臨床看護論IIにおける「片麻痺高齢者の車いす移乗・移送」 の演習において, 高齢者や片麻痺対象の理解を深めるために高齢者体験セットを使用し, 観察者の視点も含めた3側面の学生の気づき・学びの記録を分析し学生の学びと授業設計の評価を得るために, 看護師役・高齢者役・観察者の3側面ごとの学び・気づきの記録を演習目標に沿って分析した。 その結果から看護師役・患者役・観察者共に高齢者の理解, 麻痺の対象の理解ができ, 体験から多くの学びを得て, 声かけや信頼関係など看護技術のみではない看護師の役割まで気づいていることがわかった。 しかし対象の状況に応じた方法の選択まではできていなかった。 高齢者体験セットを使用しての演習はより具体的な対象理解とその援助につながり, 3側面の記録は学生の不可視の学びの確認ができた。
