外来治療中のがん患者・家族が受けるソーシャルサポートを明らかにし, 患者への支援システム構築の一資料とする。【対象・方法】医学中央雑誌Web版で検索語を「外来治療」, 「がん患者」, 「ソーシャルサポート」とし, 最近の5年間の文献を検索した。研究目的, 研究方法, 対象, 結果について整理し, 情緒的サポート・情報的サポートなど, ソーシャルサポートの項目に沿って検討した。【結果】文献13件を対象とした。データ収集方法は, 質問紙調査が8件, 面接法が5件であった。対象はがん患者のみが9件, 患者の妻, 看護師, 医師, 患者およびその家族がそれぞれ1件であった。【結論】外来で治療を受けるがん患者支援に向けて, ソーシャルサポートに関する13件の文献について, 以下の特徴が見出された。1.外来看護師は患者に対して, 情緒的サポート, 情報的サポート, 道具的サポート, 評価的サポート, 予測的サポートの5つのタイプのソーシャルサポートを行っており, 患者個々に必要なサポートを見出しながら, 治療継続とQOL向上を目指している。2.外来看護師は患者の『心の支え』として存在しており, 患者の心理面に着目した情緒的・評価的サポートにより信頼関係を築く取り組みが必要である。3.患者・家族の持つ生活面の問題に対しては, 情報的・道具的サポートを行い予測的サポートによって, いつでも支援を受けられる体制があるという安心感で支えることが重要である。4.外来治療を受けるがん患者への支援システムを構築するためには, 外来看護師の更なる役割を検討,
