Eight Japanese beef cattle were divided into two grops, 4 heads each. Control group was fed an ordinary diet, the treated group was fed an ordinary diet contains 5% of SPL. As a result, growth performance (GP) did not change by diet type even if contains SPL. Values of carcass yield and beef marbling score (BMS) in the treated group were insignificantly higher than that found in control group. In addition, lipid content in treated group was slightly higher than control group with the evidence of the collected result from BMS. Result suggested that meat productivity was improved by the SPL feeding. Diet did not affect fatty acids composition and free amino acid contents in loin of beef cattle. Vitamin E contents in loin and fat tissues of beef cattle did not change by the diet type. At day 0 under a refrigerating process, malondialdehyde values of loin in treated group, were significantly (P<0.05) lower than values in control group, However, at day 3 and 6 the values were increased, furthermore the means differences were insignificant when compared to that in control samples. This research was conducted to determine the benefits of those materials as forage for beef cattle. The current study is the first of its type to be conducted with ruminant animal. As malondialdehyde values of the treated group were low, the use of SPL as feeding may contribute considerably to meat quality of
