Behavior of patients during seizures of temporal lobe origin, coupled with the histopathological patterns in hippocampal structures have motivated use of the amygdala and hippocampus to create models of epilepsy. Older animal models have been developed with methods that use injection of metallic cobalt or alumina gel, or with methods that deliver convulsant chemicals or electrical stimuli into brain regions. Although recent work with rodents that have genetically determined seizures holds hope for more detailed understanding of the molecular mechanisms of epilepsy, the use of animal models with induced seizures is still the most commen vehicle for study. In light of their usefulness in seizure research, two procedures are worth discussion: kindling and the study of interictal events, and ferric chloride injections.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10004_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"The University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_10004_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Ueda, Yuto","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"8016","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Willmore, L.
