| 内容記述 | Abstract Scattering of a Gaussian beam by a dielectric cylinder is studied numerically. The scattered field is expressed by the integral form and this expression is converted to the matrix form by the moment method. To verify the accuracy, the scattering by a circular dielectric cylinder is examined and the scattered near field is compared to the exact one. The dielectric cylinder is considered as the convex lens in optical communication system. The effect of the width and curvature of the lens on the scattered field is discussed. We show some useful numerical results. |
