| 内容記述 | In an attempt to simulate a turbulent boundary layer on the wall within a restricted entry length, a wind tunnel of multi-fan type is applied. The airflow is driven by an array of fans (9 rows X 11 columns), each of which is independently controlled by a computer. Since a barrier is representative of the elements for generating turbulent boundary layers, the characteristics of turbulence induced by a barrier are set to the target. A new driving mode is devised, where all the fans are driven steadily, without active control. To provide strong shear, a row of fans at the bottom are driven in the counter direction, while the rest of fans driven in the normal direction tuned to realize the target characteristics. The simulated flow reproduces most of the characteristics of the target boundary layer, such as profiles of mean velocity, turbulence intensity, integral scale, and Reynolds stress. |
