Different combinations of frequencies and phases were used to define the disturbances. Disturbances with randomly provided phases were fed to the 99 fans of a multi-fan type wind tunnel. A parameter n_d = f_i/Δf (i = A,B) was introduced, where f_i was the two selected frequencies, and Δf the difference between them.
