The presence of Er3+ ions in the films was confirmed by photoluminescence emission at 1550 nm. The PL decay times of the films were decreased with number of Er2S3 pellets on the target. The lifetime of the glasses in case of Se poor composition was decreased with increasing the amount of Ge and Ga.
