内容記述 | This study aims to assess risk potency in Bantul coast against tsunami disaster and investigate appropriate allocation of temporal shelters for safety evacuation under a tsunami disaster. Bantul coast is one of the famous tourism centers in the southern Java Island and the coast locates on vulnerable area against tsunami. Tsunami risk is estimated with considering hazard factors and vulnerable ones and evaluated by spatial analyses on Geographic Information System (GIS). Tsunami inundation area, which is one of the important factors in this study, is estimated by using a Berryman equation under specious scenarios of 5m and 10m tsunami height on the coast. Distance from coastline, land use, and slope is also considered as vulnerable factors and those effects on tsunami vulnerability are estimated by spatial analyst on GIS and by analytical hierarchy process (AHP). An appropriate allocation of temporal evacuation shelters is investigated on the evaluation of those service areas under some possible serious scenarios with using a network analysis on GIS. Some mosques and public facilities, which located on potential risk area, are selected as temporal evacuation shelters. The results conclude that all fisheries facilities, a certain number of tourism centers and some residential area locate in the potential risk zone against tsunami hazard. It also estimates that proposed shelter allocations may cover the most part of residential and tourism area. The method proposed in this study is simple and useful to assess risk potency and prepare mitigation against tsunami. |
