However, the moisture control of polymer membrane has become important, because that auxiliary equipment such as humidifying machines is needed. But, it is difficult to develop a mobile humidifying equipment. Therefore, the thin polymer membrane with self humidifying system was developed. The system manages moisture using the water generated from the cathode. However, the decreasing of the open circuit voltage because of crossing leak of gas have become problems for the thin polymer membrane. The purpose of this paper is to improve the open circuit voltage by preventing crossing leak of the gas, and control activation polarization and improve power density. Then, we attended to the catalyst layer of membrane electrolyte assembly (MEA) as an accumulating structure. As a result, an excellent characteristic was shown by accumulating structure (Anode: 2 layers Cathode: 3 layers) of MEA.
