The partial discharge testing is a promising method of condition monitoring of hydrogenerator stator winding insulation. Therefore, the on-line partial discharge testing has been used to provide useful information to diagnose and monitor the integrity of stator winding insulation of many hydrogenerators. In this paper, We have developed a method for diagnosing the insulation deterioration of hydrogenerator stator windings by hybrid detection using acoustic and electrical measurement methods.
