The exhaust gas of the car is referred as one of causes of air pollution. \nTherefore, it is necessary to control the in-cylinder gas flow to decrease exhaust gas. \nMoreover, the gas flow generated in cylinder is decided under the intake condition. In \nthis research, the port model to imitate a real engine intake port is used to examine the \nin-cylinder gas flow. In-cylinder gas flow was measured how it was changed by two \nkinds of port shape in this port model by using flow visualization in color layer. As a \nresult, it was roughly understood that the state of the in-cylinder gas flow changes by \nthe difference ofthe port shape and the amount of the valve lift.
