The waveguide in this report is the two-\ndimensional pillar type waveguide and the structure is the triangular array or the square array. It \nis confirmed that the lightwave can be guided when the permittivity of one row of the dielectric \nrods is lower than that of the surrounding rods. When one row of the dielectric rods is replaced \nwith the nonlinear media, it is shown that the propagated lightwave is controlled by the intensity \nof the lightwave itself. When the light intensity is smaller, the lightwave is guided. On the other \nhand, the lightwave can't be propagated for larger intensity.
