In computer vision, several methods for solving shape-from-shading problem have been pro- posed. In general, the problem of computing the shape of an object from the shading in an image can be thought of as the problem of reconstructing one surface (height of the object above some reference plane) from another surface (brightness in the image plane)[4].However, those methods must assume that a reflectance function is known. This assumption is a major obstacle in many practical situations. We propose a method for solving shape-from-shading problem with an unknown reflectance function, which is estimated by learning in the back-propagation network. In this method, the reflectance function is approximately realized on neural networks and is applied to the shape-from-shading problem. From a lot of experimental results, we show that our method works well on the whole.}, pages = {325--328}, title = {単眼立体視によるコンピュータビジョンに関する基礎研究}, volume = {33}, year = {2004}, yomi = {オカベ, ヒデノブ and サカモト, マコト and タニグチ, シンヤ and ハマモト, ヨシヒコ and タニグチ, シンヤ} }
