| 内容記述 | In this study I made researches into the field of "sound"in Boethius' work "De institutione musica" from the standpoint of the musical education. Boethius classifies "sound" into "sonus" and "vox" . He regards "sonus" as a physical sound on the whole. With regard to "sonus" he deals with the definition of "sonus" , the propagation of "sonus" , the pitch of "sonus" and the view of the pitch of "sonus" . And he regards "vox" as a musical sound on the whole. With regard to "vox" he deals with the kind of "vox" , the limit of "vox" and the classification of "vox". Especially his following mentions are historically important. They are the mention about the view of the pitch of "sonus" by the school of Pythagoras and Aristoxenus and the mention about the definition and classification of "vox" by Ptolemios. The education of "sound" is very scanty in the past musical .education in Japan. So Boethius' considerations about the field of "sound" will give the big suggestions to the education of "sound" in the modern musical education in Japan. |
