The purpose of this study is to make researches into Boethius' work "De institutione musica", which gives a clue to the elucidation of the view of musical education in Ancient Greece and in Medieval Europe to us. In the Chap. 1 of Vol. 1 of his work, he quotes a lot of passages from Plato's ("Republic" and "Timaeus") and Aristotle's ("Politics"). These quotations surely prove for him to be a man of extensive insight into Ancient Greek scholarship. Especially he refers to and emphasizes the view of musical education of two sages (Plato and Aristotle), or the theory of "Ethos" and the theory of "Katharsis" in Ancient Greece in his work, and thus his work makes a great contribution to establish the traditional view of musical education in Europe. Now his meritorious work of "three classifications of music" has been only described in the history of musical thought. But this study will prove how significant his distinguished work as a transmitter of the view of musical education in Ancient Greece also is for the history of musical education.}, pages = {1--10}, title = {アニキウス・マンリウス・セベリウス・ボエティウス(480ころ-524)とその「音楽論」 (その4) : 古代ギリシアの音楽教育観の伝承者としてのボエティウス}, volume = {55}, year = {1984}, yomi = {タケイ, シゲミ} }
