| 内容記述 | Recently, it has been reported that irregular eating habits and unhealthy lifestyles during adolescence are associated with the risk of lifestyle-related diseases in the future. In this study, 92 first-year non-nutrition college students were surveyed to determine their nutritional and dietary intake, physical status, frequency of green tea consumption, and frequency of breakfast intake using a simple self-administered dietary history questionnaire (BDHQ), and the relationships between these factors were examined. The group with a higher frequency of breakfast intake showed significantly higher intakes of many nutrients, including protein, vitamins, and minerals, and an increasing trend in dietary quality scores. In contrast, carbohydrate intake tended to decrease. By food group, the intake of legumes, vegetables, and meat increased with breakfast frequency, whereas that of cereals decreased with breakfast frequency. No significant relationship was found between the frequency of green tea consumption and breakfast frequency. These results suggest that breakfast habits may contribute to the formation of nutritionally balanced diets. It is hoped that the findings of this study will be used as basic data for effective nutrition education activities for young adults. |
