In this study, a time consistent high resolution numerical method for gas-liquid two-phase flows is proposed and applied to a shock tube problem. A finite-difference 4th-order Runge-Kutta method and a Roe-type flux splitting method with the 3rd-order MUSCL TVD scheme are employed to solve the 1-D Euler equations. The artificial viscous terms in the flux splitting are modified by using the preconditioning matrix to enhance the numerical stability and time consistency in computation for compressible and incompressible unsteady flow with arbitrary Mach numbers. A homogeneous equilibrium gas-liquid two-phase flow model is used. So that, the present method permits simple treatment of the whole gas-liquid two-phase flow field including wave propagation, large density changes, and incompressible flow characteristics at low Mach numbers. As numerical examples, 1-D shock tube problems of gas-liquid two-phase flow with an arbitrary void fraction were solved to validate the present numerical method and the results showed a good agreement with exact solutions in pressure, density, velocity and temperature distributions as well as simulations of unsteady phenomena of the shock waves. The stability and convergence of the present method for arbitrary Mach number flow problems were confirmed. Observations of the shock and expansion wave behaviors were made and discussed.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"宮崎大学工学部","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"},{"subitem_publisher":"Faculty of Engineering, University of Miyazaki","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA00732558","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"05404924","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Zhao, Tianmu","creatorNameLang":"en"}]},{"creatorAffiliations":[{"affiliationNameIdentifiers":[{"affiliationNameIdentifier":"0000000106573887","affiliationNameIdentifierScheme":"ISNI","affiliationNameIdentifierURI":"http://www.isni.org/isni/0000000106573887"}],"affiliationNames":[{"affiliationName":"宮崎大学","affiliationNameLang":"ja"},{"affiliationName":"University of Miyazaki","affiliationNameLang":"en"}]}],"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Shin, B.","creatorNameLang":"en"},{"creatorName":"申, 炳録","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"シン, ビョンロク","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"Shin, Byeongrog","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"familyNames":[{"familyName":"Shin","familyNameLang":"en"},{"familyName":"申","familyNameLang":"ja"},{"familyName":"シン","familyNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"familyName":"Shin","familyNameLang":"en"}],"givenNames":[{"givenName":"B.","givenNameLang":"en"},{"givenName":"炳録","givenNameLang":"ja"},{"givenName":"ビョンロク","givenNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"givenName":"Byeongrog","givenNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"31439","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2023-11-06"}],"filename":"工学部紀要52号047.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.9 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"本文","objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://miyazaki-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2000283/files/工学部紀要52号047.pdf"},"version_id":"681d3510-1207-4a52-a21c-acb68d9e0d2e"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Gas-liquid two-phase flow","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Preconditioning matrix","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Modified Roe scheme","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Artificial viscosity","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"FDM, Shock tube problem","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"FDM","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Shock tube problem","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Numerical Method for Unsteady Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow using Preconditioning","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Numerical Method for Unsteady Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow using Preconditioning","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"9","path":["73","36","330","1699234090549"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2023-11-01"},"publish_date":"2023-11-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"2000283","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Numerical Method for Unsteady Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow using Preconditioning"],"weko_creator_id":"9","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-07-10T23:31:28.161477+00:00"}
