The metal extraction takes place with one molecule of deprotonated DNP (L^−) and an extraneous monoanion (X^−) for neutralization of the dicationic charge of the metal ion. The ease of extraction generally follows the order, Ba^2+>Sr^2+>Ca^2+>>Mg^2+. The nature of the anion present in the aqueous phase strongly affects the extractability. For barium, the extractability decreases in the order ClO_4^−>SCN^−>I^−>Cl^−>NO_3^−. The composition of the extracted complexes for barium and strontium ions proportional to the metal is metal : PEGP : L^− : X^−=1 : 1 : 1 : 1. The overall extraction constants were estimated.}, pages = {381--384}, title = {The Solvent Extraction of Alkaline Earth Metal Ions with Nonionic Surfactants}, volume = {59}, year = {1986}, yomi = {サカイ, ユキオ and ナカムラ, ヒロシ and タカギ, マコト and ウエノ, ケイヘイ and タカギ, マコト} }
