We first introduce the perturbation parameter concerned with the nonlinear parameter\nand the grating depth. After the wave functions are expanded, the perturbation solutions to satisfy the equivalent boundary\nconditions are derived. From the  solvability condition to have nontrivial solutions on each perturbation order, the nonlinear equations to describe the power leakage of the guided wave due to the second-order coupling to the first-order waves are obtained.
