| 内容記述 | This study aims at demonstrating the applicability of TDM scheme in small city-region. Small city-regions generally have problems on transportation such as traffic congestion, less utilized mass-transit and threaten safety of pedestrians. The trial operation of TDM scheme was conducted in Kiyotake town in Miyazaki city-region in 2002. The scheme was designed as a package of one-way traffic control in district roads, improvement of bus and rail services, and so on. It can be said that the scheme was successful because 1） the number of people who utilized mass-transit was enough to reduce the traffic congestion; 2） the service level of mass-transit was sufficient and the users were satisfied with it; 3） the safety of pedestrians was secured in residential district. | |||||
