Tetralogy of Fallot was detected in 53 hearts (7.2 %) among 740 bovine hearts showing congenital cardiovascular anomalies. The 50 specimens had perimembranous septal defect, and the remaining three had infundibular septal defect. Among the 53 specimens 11 (21 %) showed pulmonary atresia, and in those cases the patent ductus arteriosus was continuous with right and left pulmonary arteries. Patent ductus arteriosus was present in 28 cases (53 %), and interatrial communications were in 17 cases (32 %).
牛の奇形心740例中53例(7.2%)にファロー四徴が認められた. 50例は膜周囲部中隔欠損, 他の3例は漏斗部中隔欠損であった. 53例中11例(21%)は肺動脈閉鎖で, それらの左右の肺動脈は開存した動脈管と連絡していた. 28例(53%)には動脈管開存, 17例(32%)には心房間連絡が認められた.
